There’s a fine balance between designer stubble and scruffy stubble. To keep you on the right side, follow our best tips for maintaining a perfectly groomed look.

Once your stubble has grown out slightly, use a razor for the cheek lines. You can use a cartridge razor or shave razor depending on what feels most comfortable for you.

Then grab a beard & stubble trimmer that will allow you to trim nice and close like the Aqua Blade, which will leave 2mm of stubble. You can adjust the length of the comb attachment to match the length of stubble you require.

Don’t forget to clean off the blade when you’re finished and rinse clean to keep it hygienic and working to the best possible performance.

SHORT BEARD

If you’re looking for slightly more than stubble but not quite a full beard, let us guide you through easy steps to getting this look just right.

Tidy up cheeks with a close trimmer or a razor. If desired, you can fade the beard in to your hair line. WATCH THIS TUTORIAL.

For the beard, you’re looking to achieve a length of around 1cm, so using a trimmer such as the 2 in 1 Vacuum Stubble & Beard Trimmer with the no.3 attachment comb would be ideal. This will also catch any shavings, so you can keep the tidying up afterwards to a minimum.

MID BEARD

If you’re not in to the full beard look, a mid beard could work for you. First, you’ve got to know how to get it and how to trim it in to shape.

This is somewhere between a short beard and a full beard. Most of the length will sit below the chin. For this style of beard, you’ll need to make sure you have enough hair coverage to make it work. Grow your beard out to the desired length, making sure you only touch up the cheeks if you need to.

After you’ve grown the initial length and weight, you can use a trimmer to make sure it doesn’t get unruly.

This style entails maintaining the beard hair well to keep it in check. We recommend shampooing the beard a couple of times a week using a beard shampoo. Beard oil can also be used as often as required to keep it well moisturised. If your hair has a natural curl, you can use additional product that you would use for your hair to add some weight and extend the length of your beard.
