The Eclipse can only be operated with the Eclipse battery. Push the charger battery pack into the clipper until the battery latch engages on both sides. Switch on the clipper by pressing the “on/off” button once to switch the clipper off.

A fully charged battery pack enables up to 130 minutes of clipping. A new battery pack will only reach full charge capacity after it has been charged and discharged 3 times. A full charge takes 130 minutes.

The LED signals will illuminate with a continuous light at the current charge level to signal that battery pack is now charging. Once the battery pack ahs finished charging, the 3 LED signals on the charging stand will switch off. 1 Light: 0.33% 2 Lights:34-66% 3 Lights 67-100% 0 Lights: Fully charged

The lights indicate the approximate charge level of the battery. To check the level of charge, turn off the clipper and press the fuel gauge button on the battery pack. 1 Light: 0.33% 2 Lights:34-66% 3 Lights 67-100% 0 Lights: Fully charged

If none of the LED signals are illuminating, this means that the battery is fully discharged.

• Fully charge the battery pack for 130 minutes > Ensure the battery has been charged and discharged 3 times to reach full capacity.
• Check the outlet and connections of the charging stand are undamaged and fully functional. If the LED signals are still not illuminating, there are a few other factors that should be checked.
• Remove the battery from the clipper and check that the terminals are free of foreign objects and dirt.
• Try charging the battery from different mains outlets to ensure power supply is not the issue.
• Check connections, ensuring cables are installed in the correct orientation and the battery is secured correctly to the connectors in the charging stand and clipper. Once all of the above factors have been explored and verified, if the LED signals are still not illuminating, it could be the results of a faulty battery. This should be logged with Lister.

It is important to explore a number of point to help determine whether the issue may be with the battery or charging stand:

• Do any of the LED signals illuminate on the battery when the charge indicator is pressed?
• What happens when when the battery is placed in the charging stand? Do any lights illuminate? > Has the battery been left in the charging stand for 130 minutes?
• Has the charging stand been plugged into different mains outlets to ensure power supply is not the issue?
• If another Eclipse battery is available, has this been tried in the charging stand and if so, what was the outcome?

Once all of the above factors have been explored an verified, if the charging stand is still unable to charge the battery, this should be raised with Lister or an approved repair agent so a return can be arranged.

If the blades appear to slow in speed during operation, check the charge level on the battery pack. If the battery shows sufficient charge, clean and oil the blades and activate the reset by removing the battery for 15 seconds and re-inserting the battery pack.
