Best Brush For Short Haired Dogs
Short haired dogs are relatively low maintenance when it comes to grooming as the hair is smooth and unlikely to mat. However, you should try to brush them weekly as they are prone to moulting and loose hair can build up. Brushing will also help to remove any dirt trapped in the hair and distribute natural oils. As the hair is short and close to the skin, the brush you use should not be too harsh. We recommend using a brush with bristles, nylon pins or rubber pins to avoid agitating the skin.

Long haired coats will usually pick up a lot of dirt and can knot easily, so it’s a good idea to brush them daily if possible. Generally, curly haired dogs don’t shed their coats and because of this they are more prone to tangling and matting. This coat type requires regular brushing to help prevent this. This coat type requires maintenance to avoid tangling and mats. Silky haired dogs can be either single coated or double coated depending on the breed.
